This was my first vacation with my youngest children, it was wonderful. Our stay in Orlando Continental was great, conveniently located and family friendly. I had no problems with safety of my stuff and my room was welcoming whenever I return from out. I will be back for Christmas with my entire family.

This hotel is a poor choose. We arrived in late August to this hotel. We only had time for a short vacation and were not planning on spending a lot of money on a hotel so we picked a more inexpensive place. We didn't need a restaurant or bar, a pool would be fine for the amount of time we were spending. In this instance we got what we paid for. The hotel was far from clean. The appearance was a disappointment..after checking in an going to the room it only got worse. You enter your room from the exterior and it's quite dirty, the concrete has not been cleaned in years! After going into the room the first sense that hit us was musty and moldy. It didn't take us long to evacuate. We were there long enough to change into shorts, while we were doing that my son's socks got soaking wet. Between the smell, the condition of the room and hotel and the wet socks, needless to say...we're out of here! We lasted approximately 10 minutes. There are inexpensive hotels in Florida that are well maintained..this is not one of them.

The hotel is a great value for the location being right in the middle of the Universal Studios amusement parks. Unfortunately after checking in, I was held up at gun point by two black guys in front of my hotel room just four hours of checking into the hotel. Apparently this seems to be a problem in this area so no matter where you go in this Universal Studios area, you have to be careful of being robbed and held up at gun point like I was. I hadn't been on vacation for over six years and I was taking my newly adopted son that took a year and a half to adopt along with being a hurricane victim and my mother dying right before hurricane Katrina. I was really looking forward to having a great time but that was all ruined thanks to two thugs. Hope your trip is better....be careful!

I loved how close this hotel was to Universal Studios, just a short walk. Right off of I-Drive, and with the Trolly stopping right there it makes this Hotel an ideal place to stay and be right in the middle of it all.

Great deal (room rate) considering location near Universal Studios and other attractions (shopping, dining). Especially liked the comp. breakfast every AM (nice touch, decent variety of eats )and pool though kind of small I liked that it was avaiable in PM. This allowed to enjoy it w/o too many people. Recommend this hotel if visiting area especially Univ. Stud.

If you are going to Disney World or any of the other nearby places on the Tampa area, this is a good hotel to stay for the price. Wireless Internet at the lobby (and some of the rooms), room mini-fridge, very comfortable beds, pool, all at a great price. Not a fancy place, but great to go on vacation and rest after all those long walks on the gigantic parks.

You do get what you pay for. I did not expect anything too nice - but this place was pretty run down. - Rusty towel bars - moldy walls - dry rot in shower, walls separated from floor - refrigerator not working - broken handles in shower - dirty smell in lobby - condoms in parking lot with empty alcohol containers - still there two days later - staff was extremely rude at the front desk - food was not worth eating.

After reviewing tons of Orlando hotels and visitors' reviews on Expedia and other travel websites we decided on this hotel and boy were we impressed!! The hotel grounds and building was nice, the room was really good and the amenities were satificatory. The only slight draw backs were: 1. Small constant drip from tub faucet. But it wasn't annoying. 2. The hotel has only one ice machine in the hotal which was located on the ground floor and you had to pay a quater to get ice (this gets everyone on their first trip down to the ice machine after a long day out). 3. Continental breakfast room was too small for this size hotel. 4. The hotel snack shop is only open in the evenings. 5. Be prepared to have annoying local pizza guys slide flyers under your door EVERY evening. the hotel says not to order from them as this encourages them to keep bombarding guest rooms with flyers. Overall, the hotel is far better than we expected for the cost and we will definitely use them again.
