| Great Hotel - just off Times Square. Hotel was clean, room was excellent (Room size was a little on the small side - not unusual for New York), staff were freiendly and very helpful. This is an ideal location for visiting New York - right in the middle of Theater District, close to the discount tickets counter, great food, subway - across the street, and Penn Station. We stayed for a conference (4 nights) and took advantage of the location to see some shows, explore other areas New York.

| We greatly enjoyed our stay. The room was nice, but extremely small. The amenities available and the helpful staff made up for the lack of space.

| My daughter and I were on a fun trip to NYC for 7 days. When we opened the door to the room, I thought "oh no". The room was extremely small. We had a regular amount of luggage (2 suitcases each) and there was absolutely no place to put them. The doorman asked if I wanted him to store the suitcases in the basement. I declined. No drawer storage other than two small drawers. There was a hairdryer provided, but I told my daughter she could blow on my hair and it would dry faster. The room had an iron, but we have yet to locate the ironing board which the brochure said was provided in each room???? It must have been the very small table where the phone sat. The hotel is located right next door to the Nederlander Theater and the cast of Rent usually slips into the bar each night after the performance is over. The bar seems to be a hopping place, but for a mother and teenage daughter, didn't offer much. Free coffee every morning with bagels or pastries. Never tried the restaurant/bar for food so can't comment on that. I would say definitely not a "family" place. It is more of a twentysomething type hotel. Ok for short (very short) stay, but not a week stay if you are used to comfort. Oh, one more thing, the air conditioner never cooled below 77 degrees (it was 94+ outside each day). The hotel sent technicians up to fix it, but it really never worked properly. And very loud. If you are sleeping next to the A/C you can't hear the TV.

| This hotel was quite nice, despite the small room; staff were very friendly, the A/C worked, the bathroom was spotless and the shower was large (no tub, though); and it had a TV which I didn't expect for the price. The price was in the range of those hotels with shared baths, yet this was a private ensuite bath. And LOCATION!! Right next to the theatre RENT is playing in, very convenient to any theatre actually. Half block from the subway, a couple blocks from Restaurant Row, what more could you want for a short stay in the Big Apple?
