| The best features of this hotel were 1)it's location and 2)it's roof, where you could take breakfast as well as have an evening drink, while gazing at the Blue Mosque nearby, the other rooftops, or at the Sea of Marmora. The rooms were comfortable, but a definitely not on the luxury side. The location is in old Istanbul within easy walking distance of all major tourist attractions. An excellent cheap restaurant (the Doy-Doy) is several blocks away (with its own roof dining area). And it's only a 20 - 30 minute walk to the train station, the Bosphorus ferries, the Great Bazaar and the Spice Market.

| Hotel Artemis is on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. The staff all spoke adequate english and were very polite and professional. Our room was clean, tidy, and though not luxuious, it was nice. Bathrooms were clean and modern. The daily breakfast buffet allways had fresh food and drinks. Though the ambiance of the resturant had much to be desired, the food was reasonably priced and was better than average compared to other area resturants. Because we were there in November the rooftop terrace area was not open, we did goup there and I am sure in good weather it is very nice with views of the Marmara sea and the Blue Mosque. Overall, I would highly recomend the Hotel Artemis as a very good value and if I go back to Istanbul I would stay there again.

| My daughter and I stayed at Artel Artemis for 6 lovely days and truly enjoyed our experience there. The courteous, caring staff is definitely a key attribute of this nicely appointed small hotel nestled in a neighborhood near key tourist attractions. They were most accomodating and willing to help us with arrangements for site seeing, dinner, etc. The daily breakfast was generous and delicious. Maid service was quite adequate. All in all, we felt that Artel Artemis helped to make our visit to Istanbul wonderful.

| I regret that I only had two days to spend in Istanbul, but I'd definitely stay here again. This hotel is located in the old quarter of the city and is VERY well maintained. The hotel staff were VERY accommodating. I flew in to Istanbul and arrived at the hotel at around 7:50 in the morning. I signed up for an all day tour of the city at the hotel's front desk and I was headed out on a tour bus 10 mins later. I didn't even have time to get checked into my room! The hotel graciously took care of my luggage. Everyone at the hotel spoke English and I had no problems communicating. They also have a professional driver who will pick you up at the airport for around $20. He was very helpful and showed me a few out-of-the-way locals to eat and shop. I only ate breakfast at the hotel, and it was typical European fare. Alot of bread rolls, cheeses, and sliced meats. I don't remember alot about it, but I never got hungry. (Coffee was good)
