Features
What to expect: This waterside hotel occupies a renovated 16th-century building, originally a shipbuilder’s home. Tall arched doors lead from the busy street to the high-ceilinged reception area and lobby with mezzanine. These areas have been restored to their 1850s appearance, with marble pillars and wrought-iron accents. Seating areas have soft sofas, armchairs, and glass coffee tables. Guests are mainly vacationers who appreciate the attractive location and creature comforts.

Amenity highlights: Opened in 2003, this boutique hotel is a harmonious blend of past and present. The exterior is from the 16th-century, while high-ceilinged public areas offer 19th-century appointments such as a stone staircase with wrought-iron banisters. Guestrooms have a chic contemporary design. The rooftop terrace, with garden furniture, lounge chairs, and a small pool, offers views of the Old Port.

Insider tip: The Maremàgnum Center, across the street from the hotel, is one of the city’s most popular nightspots, with restaurants, cafés, bars, and a mini-golf course on the roof.

Restaurant - Opened in February 2004, the restaurant serves Catalan cuisine.

Breakfast room - This renovated room appears as it did in 1850, when the building was previously restored. Historic features include a high, arched ceiling, stone staircase with iron banister, high-backed chairs, and marble pillars and floors. Walls are decorated with 1800s-style mosaics imported from England. A buffet breakfast is served here daily (surcharge).

This is a very small hotel with great personal service. We arrived 2 hours before check-in but were able to get our room key immediatly. This hotel is in close walking distance to the beach, La Ramble, and many other sites. Also free internet service in the hotel lobby.

My husband and I had traveled to five different countries before arriving in Barcelona and needless to say, we were exhausted. I had booked the room on the internet and was not sure it would be adequate.....it was much, much more. We loved everything about the hotel especially the great people working there. I "highly" recommend this wonderful facility!

This hotel had good service, everyone spoke English, French and Spanish. However, the air conditioning did not work initially and we were excited about using the top floor deck, which we were unable to use because they rented out to a private party. But, the location is fantastic, a few blocks from Las Ramblas and the marina.

This hotel has a great location but the room we stayed in was pretty small with no window. there was a small door that was difficult to open b/c of how the furniture was situated. the staff was nice, but not knowledgeable about many things in the city. the room was very clean and the bathroom was nice but overall would look for another hotel on my next visit.

Hotel is a super location and has a lovley charm about it. Bedrooms are comfortable with all the essential comforts in the room. My one tip would be to request a room overlooking the Marina, out room was located in the middle of the hotel with a view of an interior type courtyard. Other than I would highly recommend the Hotel.
