| Though I would not "vacation" at this hotel, it definitely provides for a different way to see Chicago. It is six stops north on the Red Line from the Miracle Mile in a neighborhood that is not at all "touristy." The neighborhood is full of good, informal, restaurants from all regions of the world -- and, much to my surprise -- it is within walking distance of Wrigley Field! (Yes, I wandered over there and watched a night game.) I recommend this hotel for the traveler, not the tourist.
