| I made my reservation the night before my arrival, and they had plenty of room. Once I got there, I was greeted with a cheerful manager, shown directly to my room which was more of a suite--with seperate living room, bedroom, and kitchen with a decent sized refridgerator and microwave. The room was decently cleaned, but I'm always a bit leery of hotel cleanliness anyway. I thought the mattresses were phenominal for a hotel. The building is very old, so things are getting more run down... the air conditioning was ancient, and the fridge was pretty old, too(even though it worked well). The couch was damp when I got there, but it didn't smell weird or anything... In addition, I brought my dog with me, and they welcomed him! I stayed in a room across from a nice little field so that I could walk him. There were other people there who had dogs, and I heard them every once in a while, but it wasn't anything that was really bothersome. Also, the hotel was VERY quiet at night... I got plenty of rest. I thought my rates were a bit high considering the age of the place, but it was a holiday weekend, I did have a great room, they serve a decent breakfast, and it was across the street from the beach. If I DO end up going to Jekyll again, I'll try to stay there.
