| Of all the places I stayed in my recent 2-week road trip around California, this was the worst by some way (ok there was one other, but the rest were good). Shabby environment from check-in to room, staff who seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else, and made you feel the same. I found it generally depressing, and I travel quite a bit. Don't assume it's just a matter of price: it cost more than the other places I stayed in the two weeks and that includes LA and SF! I really recommend staying elsewhere if you need to stay in Fresno.
