| The hotel was fantastic for a three star hotel. Firstly, location - it's right off the main Vaci pedestrian street, the Elizabeth bridge, within minutes to subway stops, tourist offices, shopping, restaurants, etc. (and you can walk everywhere - 20 minutes to the palace across the bridge, 25 minutes to the parliament). The hotel itself is very clean and nice, the rooms were absolutely great and comfortable. Had all the amenities of a higher-star hotel (mini bar, room service, AC, size, etc). The only non-fantastic part of the hotel was the bathroom - the shower was absolutely tiny. But I'd highly recommend it to others. The front staff are amazing and go out of their way to help you book tours, trips, dinners, etc. Definitely going back there next time I'm in Budapest.

| Close to river, trams and walking streets. Staff very helpful. Older building and stairs up to reception and to lift are a bit of a maze. overall adaquate.

| We weren't sure what to expect when we chose the Matyas Hotel but were very pleased with the choice. The rooms are simple - not fancy - but clean and comfortable and the hotel is in a very convenient location to the historic districts of Budapest - most within walking distance. The breakfast included was also good. Staff very friendly. Good experience and would stay there again.
