| This non-chain brand hotel is on the downhill side, first time I ever had to put a deposit down for the TV control. Staff was couteous and friendly but, advised us not to go walking the neighborhood for safety sake.

| There's not much in the way of reasonably priced, clean, safe hotels to use in Merced. The rooms were pretty basic but very clean and definitely worth the price. The greatest thing about this property is the staff. Great sense of humor, upbeat attitudes and a willing ness to do whatever necessary to make my stay a good one. The manager also helped me find a good Mexican restaurant and it turned out to be a great tip. I will be staying there again.

| The hotel is located directly off the freeway causing great traffic noise. It also must be close to a train station or train tracks as we heard many trains whistle by throughout the day and night. There seems to be a lot of local traffic at the hotel... maybe locals that make their residence there? This created a lot of noise and activity at all hours of the night in and around the guest rooms. I found it very uncomfortable. The hotel and room were quite clean and the front desk service personel were very friendly. However, the other aspects of the stay made me mentally remind myself to not return to this location.

| The Hotel never had enough clean towels when I asked for extras. The room I asked for was nonsmoking, however the rooms next to ours were smoking so the smell drifted into our room. There were bums, drifters constantly hanging around the hotel, and asking for money. The car alarms kept going off due to people out and around the cars. The parking lot was full of holes and not enough space for amount of cars.
