| Standard motel / hotel room but the location was fabulous. The ocean was across the way and the rooms looked out into forest. Great place to stay if you are not looking for anything more than a hotel room with standard beds but want a special place to be.

| This hotel is very nice. It is very clean. However, it is definitely intended for family and conference type groups. We stayed one night for leisure in the historic room. It did not have a phone or TV. It is intended for relaxation. They have tons of board games to be rented out. They also have a very large lobby with two pool tables and a ping pong table, which seemed to be occupied most of the time. There is a lot to do on the hotel grounds. They rent out bikes there and it is right next to the beach. The one thing I would be aware of is there seems to be a problem with check in. You cannot check in any time before 3pm. And at exactly 3pm, people are lined up to check in and the line is unusually long. We waited a half an hour and there was a ridiculously long line behind us. This is also a bit of an inconvenience if you have questions after you check in because you would have to wait in the long line if you want to inquire about something after you enter your room. This was difficult especially because the room we were in did not have a telephone to call the lobby. One perk is that everyone gets a very nice cafeteria style breakfast for free. Overall, if you are there for the right type of stay, and don't mind peace and quiet, it is a very nice hotel.
