| We were not impressed with the Quinta Real De Sierra Nevada after a 2 night stay in late November. The "deluxe suite" was merely a somewhat attractively furnished but unheated room and bath with cold tile floors and inadequate lighting. There were no lamps (or even outlets) at the small desk and armchair; there was no natural light in the room since the curtains were strung on rods across the window panes. The English spoken by the staff was barely adequate. Even my husband's quite good Spanish was not comprehended as it took 7 hours the 1st night to get them to understand that we wanted a fire in the fireplace in order to try to warm up the room. The grounds with a small pool were lush but covered a very small area. The 2 hotel restaurants (1 of them a 10 minute walk to the Jardin) were excellent.
