| This hotel is close to Chinatown, North Beach and all the Union Square shopping. We got a great price with our package. It is a small, slightly cramped, hotel but very clean and cozy and charming.

| 1st time to San Fran, came to see the sites. Pleasantly surprised with the hotel! Booking online can be scary. Yes, small room, no frills, cranky tv, not the best carpet...but very clean for an old place. The best part is the Location! only 3 blocks or so from any form of Public transportation/cable car turnaround. Could walk to anything in Union Square...and the Chinatown gate was practically at the front door of this hotel. For the price, if you need a base of operations and won't spend much time in the hotel, I'd definitely recommend this place.

| Having stayed all over San Francisco in a variety of hotels, cheap to expensive, I can honestly say that the Baldwin was the best experience we have had. Check-in was a breeze, when we needed additional pillows and and ironing board/iron and they were delivered in less than 15 minutes. It is the largest room I have had in the city. Located close to everything. It isn't air conditioned but ceiling fans were adequate. Great Claw foot bathtub. The down sides were only one slow elevator and is in front of a huge parking garage and at times car alarms go off, but the windows if closed deaden most of the sound.

| This hotel is in a really good location in the Union Square area of San Francisco. It's between the best shopping area and Chinatown. Two blocks west gets you to Powell street where you can pick up two of the cable car lines. The Powell Mason line will take you towards Fishermans Wharf. It is only one street for several bus routes. For the price I was really surprised about how good the lcoction was as well as the size of the room. I had a decent size room with a double bed, TV, desk and closet and a nice bathroom. The rooms were clean and tidy.
