| This hotel is a great value for those traveling to/through venice. It is not in the Historical center, but the center is easily reachable by a 10 minute train ride, the station is right across the street. First class hotel and service.

| This hotel is isolated but close to the train station. The air conditioning is adequate, and the breakfast was the most limited on out recent trip.

| The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Mestre Venezia train station, which is a 10-minute train ride from Venice. While this distance from Venice may seem to be a drawback, it really is not. Trains run between the stations every few minutes, and you're from one point to the next in no time. When searching for hotels in April, I found that Mestre's hotels were more reasonably priced than those in Venice, and, to me, that's worth a painless commute. The rooms are fairly spacious, comfortable and extremely clean (housekeeping visits at least twice a day). There is a cafe near the reception desk that serves cappuccino, juices, and a variety of pastries for breakfast, and while none is free, a meal here is much cheaper than what you'll find in the heart of Venice. The hotel also offers Internet and long-distance calling services, but be warned that they are poor values. You will be better served at local Internet/phone shops.

| We backpacked most of our trip and decided to do a hotel for our last two nights. We were worried it would be the typical european hotel room though. You know, small, cramped, with a teeny bathroom and no carpetting on the floor. What a pleasant surprise when we had a good sized room, a large bathroom, and a nice breakfast was even included. But the best part was that the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, unlike what we experienced at previous hotels in Europe. It was also in a great location, directly across the street from the Mestre train station. We were ready to pull out the map to try to find the hotel as we usually have to do. Imagine our delight when we stepped out front and saw it right across the street. What a wonderful way to end our journey in Italy.

| Excellent hotel located in a not so impressive city (Mestre) but extremely convenient to get into Venice. Train station is directly across the street & costs 1 Euro. Hotel staff friendly & helpful. Easy to get to airport. We had a great meal in the hotel restaurant. We enjoyed Venice much more without the struggling with luggage on water taxis.

| Perfect location - jump on the train (runs into Venice every 10 mins - 1 Euro) - great value and wonderful clean environment. Room large - bath light and airy tile. Helpful staff arranged tour of the city.

| Really appreciated the train station being just steps away when we saw others dragging luggage through the streets & on the overcrowded boats. As stated in other reviews, train costs just 1 Euro each way & literally takes just minutes. Bus stop for direct trip to airport is also just minutes away. Room was average, staff helpful. I usually shy away from hotels around train/bus stations but I felt safe returning to my room at the Plaza.
