Keo’s Thai - Located on the ground floor, this restaurant features open-air dining with a tropical garden ambience. An air-conditioned section is available for those who prefer it cool. Thai cuisine is prepared using fresh vegetables and herbs grown on Keo’s farm. Menu items include salmon, trout, crab, spareribs, pork chops, and roast duck. Kimo Bean - This coffee shop is located right outside the front door. Guests can enjoy a quick breakfast or lunch, or try a gourmet coffee beverage made from 100% pure Hawaiian coffee.

| This outwardly ugly and run-down looking hotel hides an inner beauty. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room itself, while simply appointed, was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is spacious. Nice sized bar fridge in the "kitchenette" (no microwave). Pool area was nice and clean. New fixtures in the bathrooms. Water pressure in the shower was excellent. Very convenient downtown location within walking distance of Waikiki attractions. On the negative side, the bathroom has no useable counterspace on which to place your toiletries, although it does have a small medicine cabinet. No cups are provided. The safe costs extra if you want to use it. No internet available. Shower only - no tub. This is a basic hotel so don't expect extras like room service and bell service. Just a nice, clean, simple hotel at a good price.

| The Ambassador Hotel is an older appearing hotel. I was a little nervous at first when I arrived at the hotel. It is older and there is really nothing fancy about it. It has a very simple lobby and front desk. The front desk staff were very polite and courteous and provided very nice customer service and efficient service. We stayed 6 nights and we asked almost every day for extra towels and they delivered promptly to us, always giving us more than we asked for. The room itself was older , but everything worked well. The kichen area was nice to have. It included a fridge, oven/stove, sink and also had all the essential untensils, glassware needed. We didn't mind walking to the popular part of the beach, it took about 20-30minutes. But straight up from the hotel is a more quiet part of the beach, which was very nice and it took 8minutes or so to get there. Overall , I was satisfied with the stay. Try not to judge the hotel by its looks only! I would recomend to someone who is not looking for a fancy place, but just a place to sleep in or relax.
