| The hotel was enjoyable. Not extremely close to everything, but still an OK location. Loved the individual bungalo huts as well as the reservation dinners. Need to serve larger cups for beer. Other than that, it was a wonderful suprise. Thanks

| I won't recommend this place is affordable but not worth my time. I went to this place for my honeymoon. I thought since i was in a budget that it would be a nice place to visit, but i was wrong. When i checked in, my cottage was not available. My first night i spent in what they call their hotel which looked more like motel near the entrance of the resort. The next day my cottage was available when i went to check out the cottage it was the very last cottage and the AC was not working. We decided that it was best if we stayed where we were(motel. They had us sign a paper stating that we refused the cottage and prefer to stay at the motel... we signed it just to make the best out of our honeymoon.

| The Royal Decameron was great. They up-graded our room for free, the drinks were strong after a tip for the bartender, the staff was great, and grounds were beatiful.

| We went to the Royal Decameron for our honeymoon, and we can't wait to go back! We would recommend this place to anyone going to Jamaica. It's a smaller resort, so you get to know the staff by name, and everyone's so friendly. We didn't want to leave!! The food was also great every single meal.

| This place overbooks the cottages like crazy. We were on our honeymoon, which we booked at least 4 mothns in advance. There is no reason why we had to be bumped our first night into a regular room located almost off the property by the main gate. The cottages need updating, especially the air conditioners. One night, something must have happened with their septic system because it smelled like raw sewage in our cottage. We opened the door and it reeked everywhere! The hotel workers seemed to cater more to the British visitors and single females. While me and my wife were at the buffet, we found ourselves getting our own drinks while the staff walked by out table to serve drinks to, I guess, their more desired guests. In fact, my wife said the staff was real "friendly" and willing to cater to her while I was not present, but as soon as I joined her they weren't so attentive. After we were there a few days, the service improved a bit. I guess the longer we were there, the more money the staff thought we had. They are always on a hustle for a tip. I know Jamaica is not a wealthy nation, but their constant desire to get in to your wallet at every turn gets old very fast! If you need a budget resort and money is tight, this place is ok at best. However, I would suggest getting a good taxi and going on day trips to other places for something to do. The nightly entertainment was weak at best. Overall, I'd suggest spending a few more dollars and go someplace else.

| As with everyone else who posts a review our room was not the right room and was not ready so we accepted another room, we knew this was a problem before we left so we were prepared for this to happen. The layout of the hotel was excellent and you got a real feel for the people of Jamaica as you seemed to be immersed in their culture instead of in an American-ized hotel. The beach was totally unusable which we did not know before we went there, there were huge extremely sharp lava rocks under the water and noone was in the ocean ever for the entire time we were there. There were quite a few things to do and I recommend taking extra money for the tours. If you smoke then you should go to on the Bob Marley tour and see where he was buried, if you don't then you should be prepared to be accosted by people trying to sell you their product. Overall the trip was great but I wish the beach was usable.

| The entire experience was great! The staff members were helpful, friendly, and informative. The food was ok- more variety would have been better, but the chef and kitchen restaurant workers were great. The rooms were clean and well maintained. I think there may have been a recent update judging from previous claims of the cottages being outdated.

| The cottages are large and comfortable. The food is ok but not as good as we wished. The staff is not friendly. Dont expect them to say hello to you first. There were atleast 3 power outages each day during our stay, which means walking into a hot and muggy cottage after a day at the beach. Ice is limited, due to the outages I assume. There are only two bars so there is a wait for even a cup of soda. The 2 pools close daily at 5pm. There is a rec room which opens at 11pm and consists of 1 pool table with 2 sticks and a dart board with no darts. The waiter staff have no respect and flirt with you while you are sitting and eating. The best part of the resort is the bread...it is sooo good!

| The resort was more impressive in person than in the pictures online. There were plenty of daily activities. You didn't have to leave the resort to have fun. The staff made you feel welcome! The food and service were great as well, however, it would have been nice to have a designated area for non-smoking while dining.
