| I found the Aquamarina hotel to be sufficient for our purpose. We spent little time in the hotel itself. The hotel appears to be old and has been somewhat remodeled. It was clean and we did have an ocean view as well as the hot tub and pool. I don't think the Aquamarina is worth the money when you can find nicer hotels for about the same money. This was my first trip, so I didn't know anything about Cancun.

| The hotel was nice and they offered a lot to do during the day, including games by the pool, snorkling and a Day Spa. The staff at the hotel was very nice and friendly.

| Being an all inclusive resort, you can't expect that great of food. But, this place didn't even meet up to those expectations. The food is basically the same everyday. On the second to the last day all four of the people I was with, including me, got sick. Some sort of food poisoning is what we assumed it was, because we had stayed away from the water to be safe. The hotel staff was out of their way nice, and our room was always extrememly clean. If you chose to stay here, plan on eating out.

| The hotel partners with a company called "Best Day Tours". This Best Day company will assign a sales rep to you and bombard you with sales pitches. They do have some good trips/tours. Beware... if you want a quiet hotel/experience this is not the place. They have someone with a microphone all day trying to get everyone to do activities.

| This is a great hotel. The beach was wonderful, water is not great for swimming. We had heard this from other reviews but we weren't too concerned. So we weren't too surprised. The staff was very attentive. We didn't have any problems at all. I really can't say enough great things about this hotel. We had a great time. We would definately return.

| the service was excellent - the people were great! The bathroom (shower and toilet) is tiny, and worn in the regular rooms. the food is not great, but edible. some of it was very good, but overall, not fabulous. I was disappointed we had to pay for water, which you need a lot of. we eventually figured out that you can get glasses of bottled water at the bars too, so that was nice. the pool was nice and clean, the beach was nice and easy to walk up the beach for fun. for the same money we would stay there again.

| While the hotel is good, the rooms have no way to prevent noises from room next door. There was so much singing and shouting that we were never comfortable and therefore for this reason I would never want to stay in a hotel where you cannot sleep in peace.

| My father and I traveled together and had a great time. Very friendly people, especially the bartenders. The buffets were better than the resturant, food was good but not great. Rooms were clean, small shower/toilet area but didn't stay in there often. The hotel is older but very well maintained.Nice pool area, and a nice mix of people staying there. Wish we could have stayed longer than 4 nights. For the money, a very good deal.
