| i think that for what you can expect from nyc, this is about as good as it gets. if you want a great view, or "great" location, you can probably do better... but actually, this location, near soho, the village, the east village and lower east side is excellent if these are the areas you will be spending your time. it was "quaint", the rooms were roomy (for new york) and everything clean, nice and prim. if you're just looking for somewhere to crash, you can get a lot cheaper (and about half the size). overall, if i'm only staying a day or two, i'll probably be back.

| The hotel was in the heart of the lower east side which is the center for entertainment. Tons of restaurants and hangout clubs. The room was small but it served its purpose of a place to crash after a long night.

| The room was so bad that I found another room in a different hotel and crossed Manhattan at 8:30pm, 90+ degree heat to get to a place I could sleep.

| It was clean and affordable, so that's saying a lot for a place in Manhattan. The housekeeping seemed to try to rush me out in the morning, which is very aggravating. Room was decent but small. I'd probably stay there again.

| The rooms were small but the hotel was very adequate for our needs. We were visiting our daughter in the area and wanted a hotel close to her apartment. This hotel was definitely more affordable if you are not spending much time in your room. Staff was accomodating. Street parking available on Saturday nights.

| We needed a place close to Soho, and this fit the bill. Nothing snazzy or exciting, but a clean, comfortable, well priced hotel. No real complaints, just nothing special.

| Not particularly anything, other than well located, if SoHo/East Village is your destination. Lots of wonderful shops and restaurants nearby, easy to get taxi's. Hotel is plain, no amenities, not too noisy, clean, no frills. Houston is a noisy street, so get a room, as I did, on the top (6th) floor).
