Royalton Amenities
The Royalton offers around-the-clock concierge and room service. Children are welcomed with a gift and receive a soft drink or juice and popcorn on their first evening; board games and coloring books are also provided. An executive boardroom is available for meetings, and business needs such as faxing and photocopying are handled at the front desk.

Features
What to expect: Inspired by the luxury ocean liners of old, the Royalton has a block-long lobby aisle carpeted in royal blue, with seating and dining to one side, and registration desk and elevators almost hidden on the other. The hotel is a favorite of those in the fashion and media worlds. Dark blue curving hallways lead to rooms reminiscent of cabins, with porthole windows and built-in storage.

Amenity highlights: Valet parking, 24-hour concierge and room service, and turndown service are available. A lobby designed to be a gathering place includes the Library Table—where drinks are served and a selection of books and international magazines is available—and the intimate Round Bar, seating just 20 patrons. The small fitness room provides essential workout equipment.

Insider tip: The International Center for Photography, at Sixth Avenue and 43rd Street, is 1.5 blocks from the Royalton. The center has a collection of 60,000 photos, from the earliest Daguerreotypes to today, including the work of masters such as Heni Cartier-Bresson, Elliot Erwitt, and WeeGee.

44 Restaurant - This restaurant is a New York favorite for business lunches, and its New American dinner menu is well-reviewed. Breakfast is also available.

We loved the unique design of this property as well as the great location!! It was very clean, including the rooms. We especially loved the unusual lobby, which we found to be a great place to congregate. The only downside we found was that the lighting in the rooms was not quite adequate.

Comfortable rooms but a little on the small side, but not unusual for city. Service is great except for the innatentive door staff, which is a great annoyance when your arms are full of shopping bags and its 30 degrees outside and you have to compete with the attentive staff from the other hotels on the street for a cab.

The Phillipe Starcke designed lobby, bar and entry colonade still makes me feel like a star. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and HUGE by New York standards. The location is very convenient to the subway all things up and downtown. The real clincher though, is the service. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We will be returning to the Royalton for all future visits to New York.

Centrally located directly between Times Square and Grand Central Station, can't get a better spot if you plan to use the subway. Within walking distance of wonderful shopping, great sights. Great food in the restaurant, great hotel staff. We couldn't have had a better experience, and very affordable also. Highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Royalton. It was a very "chic" hotel in a fantastic location. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Probably not recommended for travelers with young families but for my wife and I it was great.

We showed up late for check in and our room was not ready - but after discussion they upgraded our room and put us in one with a wonderful tub. The room was very comfortable, very quiet and over all a wonderful experience!! The hotel was in a great location and very accessible to downtown and the theater district!! It was a great birthday experience!! We'd go back again!
