| I had been at the Lions Dive Resort two years ago and was very satisfied then, but this year I liked the resort even better. The unit was newly refurbished, living room and bedroom is now air conditioned, also there are ceiling fans, so I only used the air condition evenings and at night. The queen size bed has a firm mattres, the kitchen appliances looked new (fridge, stove and microwave), there seemed to be plenty of cooking utensils, but I preferred to go to their restaurant which had buffet breakfast and very good meals in the evening. They have large beach towels which I exchanged for fresh ones whenever necessary. There is a room safe in the closet to which I got the key upon my arrival. When I had a problem opening the large glass door to the terrace, the maintenance man came within an hour and the door worked well thereafter. The people at the desk are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate the guests. I no longer scuba dive (back problems), but their activities office arranges snorkel trips, also sunset sails, canooing and many activities. There is also a water taxi to take snorkelers twice (more in season, I was told) daily to Klein Bonaire. If you miss your pets: there is a cat feeding station (5 cats ranging from very friendly to shy) and a dog. Divers told me that they came back year after year because they liked the dive shop. There is a small super market,an ATM, an ice cream shop, and an internet store nearby.

| The hotel is filthy and the people at the front desk just really don't care about you. We ran out of toilet paper in our room and it took them two days to get around to supplying more paper in the room. The dishes in the so called "well stocked kitchen" felt grimy and greasy so I decided to look around the kitchen and find some dish washing soap to give them a good scrub. Only there wasn't any dish washing soap. Also no paper towels, no salt/pepper, no sugar, no coffee/tea -- very little of anything including dishes. The room supposedly accomodated four people; however, it only included two dinner plates, three salad plates, and four cereal bowels. Not my idea of a well stocked kitchen. Besides no toilet paper in the bathroom, the maid also neglected to supply shampoo and soap. We were given only two small towels and a hand wel per day. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone.
