| I was expecting a little hole in the wall. I got an elegant historic hotel. The room was relatively small, but it was clean and beautifully decorated. There is a sense of intimacy throughout the hotel. The only issue would be location. After 5, the financial district is pretty desolate. Other than that, it was a GREAT experience.

| I found this historic hotel to be very comfortable and clean. The room is small, typical of older hotels, but very nicely appointed and comfortable. Accomodating, but not overly friendly staff. Would definitely go back.

| All in all a good choice for this location. The only minus was the noise level from 2 things: a party down the block going on till 2 am, and the cleaning crew out in the hallway in the morning. For some reason our room didn't filter out any of this noise.

| Would recommend this hotel. Helpful staff. Convenient free continental breakfast. Rooms were smaller than expected. The hotel was not too close to alot of the sites, but the hotel staff helped us find the right subway to get us where we wanted to go.

| This is an attractive hotel on a quiet street. The short walk from the subway (3 blocks) felt a little creepy on deserted streets (11 p.m. on a Friday), but I don't think safety is a real problem. Room was clean and comfortable, but some street noise distrubed me in our fourth floor room. Continental breakfast was adequate, if undistinguished, but certainly welcome (no coffee maker in room). As we checked out at 9:30 the next morning, we had no opportunity to assess any other services or staff. I would certainly try it again if the occasion arose.

| The hotel was very nice and very clean. The bathroom was a bit too small, but the room itself, and the foyer were pretty large. The staff and the owners are Polish and are very polite and accomodating. There was no coffee maker in the room, but they had a small refrigerator, which is very convenient. Overall our stay was pleasant.

| We showed up with bicycles and the front desk clerk was bent out of shape and made it seem like it was a big hassle to store our bikes. Other than that the hotel was serviceable, nice touch with heated mirror and a continental breakfast is always helpful.

| This hotel is very conveniently located downtown, has nicely appointed rooms and for the location is very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the sixth floor anyway had a strong smell of stale urine, such as one smells in the corners of subway platforms. Really, other than that rather unfortunate deal killer, it was a great hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. I did not eat at the hotel.

| Quiet & comfy hotel in the Financial District more than met our expectations. A bonus: Umbrella. I left mine in the cab and my wife said there's one for our use in the room. Good experience; recommend the hotel.
