Quiet country like area. You can hear the rooster in the morning, down the road see cows & chickens.i loved it, not at all like San Juan.It was a great environment. The beach is not in walking distance but a 5 min. cab ride. Definatley rent a car.hotel was very tropical & very nice.the room was large. Fantastic restaurant in the hotel for lunch & dinner. Great views. However there were red ants in the room that BITE.i dont think you can help that in the country. that was the only unpleasant thing, the ants. But overall I would go back.

Adorable, quiet, relaxing, and peaceful! The folks that work there are so friendly. The food is delicious! Only complaint...the pool isn't open late. It would have been nice to hang out in the jacuzzi or take a quick dip in the evening. All in all a great place to stay, and would definitely go back!

What a great little hideaway for a long weekend. You are about five minutes by car from the beach, and five minutes from some very authentic Puerto Rican restaurants. The town is a surfer community so don't expect a tourist's welcome. Also, there is not much to do, so bring a good book and lots of sunscreen. The owner take a LOT of pride in the property. It is well maintained, with excellent themed touches. (A meowing parrot.) Rooms are small but there are two open air terraces, and a pool area overlooking the valley. It was the highlight of my hotel stays in PR!

Lots of atmosphere and charm. This family run hotel made our first trip to the west coast of Puerto Rico a very good one. The restaurant is a must. It is open and the views of the foliage and ocean are beautiful. The food was excellent. We will definitly stay here again.. The only down side was water pressure in the shower was low but we found out that that is normal for Puerto Rico.
