| Waltham Court is of historic significance.Built on 3 acres of common land known as Handville Green in 1796 the outhouses were converted into cottages, one of these being used as a bakery and another as a beer shop. One part of what is now the Dining Room was used as a chapel by the Wesleyan Methodists. Named as Waltham Court in 1909 the house remained as a private residence, surviving the 2nd World War when it was taken over by the army and the garden turned into a potato field. Further substantial investment has converted Waltham Court into a fine small, quality Boutique Hotel as it stands today. Waltham Court is set in some of the most beautiful countryside in Southern England, in the valley of the North Downs within the Weald of Kent. Only twelve minutes from the beautiful city of Canterbury and twenty minutes from the channel tunnel.We are ideally situated for the tourist and traveller or for those seeking a quiet hideaway for a relaxing break.
