| the hotel and staff were great! the only problems were limited food--especially for vegetarians--and the pool closed early, at 6 pm.

| I thought the place was nice, w/ ample diversions on the property. Good staff, nice restaurants there, and at the sister property. Make sure not to miss the Zen Garden for excellent far eastern cuisine. Small Casino, but plenty for the amount of people playing.

| We visited Dorado in the end of May 2005. The Hacinda Del Mar was really great. The pool was amazing and the views from the comfortable rooms are great. The only downside is the lack of dining options. Old San Juan is a 40 minute drive away and was really a lot of fun.

| My husband and I traveled with my brother, mother and father to the Haciedna Del Mar in April and had an excellent time. I was the one who booked the hotel and was very nervous about how it would be. When we walked into the lobby I knew right away that I choose the right spot. The rooms are well decorated, the views are WONDERFUL and the pool/beach areas are great. WE stayed in the two bedroom condo and found the rooms to be spacious, clean and comfortable. The balconies are a plus as is the full kitchen and kitchenette in the adjacent room. We did find that the activities desk was not very helpful but there is plenty to plan on your own. The casino is fun, resturants on site are great (a bit expensive) and there are several in the area to drive to as well. The pools are any kid's dream. We loved them as adults too--lazy river float, big waterslide, lap pool, and a swim up bar. There really was something for everyone. We are the type of family that likes to try new places but we all want to go back to the Hacienda Del Mar next year. It was fantastic!

| We just returned from six days at Hacienda del Mar. There were five of us (2 adults and three teen kids). The hotel is very clean, the grounds are beautiful and the staff helpful. Unfortunately for us it was unusually rainy so we could not utilize the golf courses as much as we would have liked. Not alot to do at night. The room was large (we had a 2BR) and enabled us to spread out. The food was ok but pricey.

| Overall a very relaxing, comfortable, child-friendly place. My husband and I took our two-year-old son and he had a great time. The riverpool and the grounds are beautiful - the best feature of the hotel. The rooms are comfortable though the furniture is a little worn. The full kitchen in the room is very convenient. We had a two-bedroom suite with nice-size rooms and terraces at each window. The grounds, though beautiful, could be maintained better. Several sections of the riverpool were roped off; the children's playground had some broken parts which could be dangerous to kids and weren't roped off until our second day at the hotel. There's also nothing to do in the town of Dorado but we didn't feel it was a problem since we either just stayed at the fantastic pool or went into San Juan. The staff is very polite and accomodating, calling several hotels to help find a stroller to use since we forgot ours at home; but they weren't too knowledgable about restaurants and directions to some of the sights. Aside from the few quirks mentioned above we had a really nice time.
