| The Avalalon Grand Panama is a nice hotel, clean, well maintained and with friendly staff; however, to get anywhere in Panama City you will need a car or will need to take a taxi. If you want to explore the city, you may be better off staying downtown.

| The Hotel is a great getaway place to isolate from the everyday hustle. It is in the wooded area away from the city, but still close to everything if you need to go to the city. The service is great and the rooms are large and very comforble. There are lots of things to do and enjoy. It has a large water park to entertain any level of age.

| The resort was very nice overall but had some limitations. The restaurant was very limited, both in menu choices and service. There were inconsistancies in pricing and with what came with what. There weren't very many people staying at the resort and at times there were only five or six people in the restaurant and the service was still somewhat slow. The rooms are large and comfortable, however there was some construction going on that made getting in and out of the lobby and rooms a challenge. Phone call have to be made through the "front desk" and I was told were $.50/minute for local calls. Internet service is in the Business Center for $4.40/hour, while Internet cafes in town charge $.75 an hour. The grounds are large, but a little hard to get around due to the hillside terrain. If you want peace and quiet, it's a nice place, but if you're looking for something more lively, stay closer to town. Also the traffic getting there and out, can be very difficult almost any time of the day.

| The Avalon was an out of the way place and it was a plesant change as opposed the hotels the city has to offer. The resturant offered an ok breakfast buffet but otherwise the food was nothing to rave about. Also the pool, although very private, did not have a bar, towel service, or bathrooms.

| The hotel is a great. You can't complain. It has a water park. There's a place to rent paddle boats nearby. The rooms are three times the size as a regular hotel room and come with a kitchen. Bathrooms are also generous in size. Getting to the hotel is a challenge. It's a drive, in heavy traffic(sometimes) to get there. And many people don't know where it is. It's easy to miss unless you're really looking.
