Features
What to expect: The Las Brisas is popular with families and couples seeking a good mix of recreation and relaxation. The hotel is large, with 484 rooms, but they are housed in four separate "villages," one of which is the Brisas Beach Club, set on a beachfront point and offering special amenities. Encompassing 50 acres of tropical gardens and sandy beaches, the resort does not feel crowded, even with a full house. Amenity highlights: With an abundance of sporting facilities, including tennis, squash, basketball, and volleyball courts and a soccer field, the Las Brisas is an outdoor recreation paradise. The resort has three swimming pools and three beaches with lounge chairs and shady cabanas. Three restaurants offer dining variety. The property is extensive, so the hotel operates several complimentary mini shuttle buses to ferry guests around the grounds. Insider tip: Due to the hotel’s location along the western edge of the bay, guests have the rare opportunity to see the sun rise, rather than set, over the Pacific Ocean. The view is great from guestrooms or the hotel beach.
La Brisa Restaurant & Bar - Serving light snacks, Mexican fare, and drinks, this casual poolside restaurant overlooks the pool and the beach. An open-air deck has lounge chairs and a billiards table. Open late morning to early evening (bar stays open late). Solarium - This casual restaurant is next to the beach and offers lunch and dinner under a thatched-roof palapa. Solarium specializes in regional seafood dishes. Open midday until early evening. Bellavista - Diners enjoy air-conditioned comfort, but still have a view of the main pool. Serves breakfast and dinner in a casual, yet romantic, atmosphere. Open morning and evening (closed midday).

| Excellent to stay and enjoy all the installations, everything is inside of this hotel all of the four beaches are very clean and excellent, since you do not have to deal with a lot of people. This is really a place to rest without going outside of this hotel.

| It's a nice hotel, good food, good beverages, nice entertainment and beautiful beaches, all rooms have ocean view. It's a big hotel, you have to ride a cart in order to get to your room or walk, and sometimes is a long walk. They only provide transportation from the lobby to your room and viceversa.

| we actually cancelled the reservation in the end, but had stayed previously in a nearby hotel, and thought that Las Brisas looked very large and ugly from the outside. Though it had a good location on a small peninsular with its own small beaches.

| Las Brisas was great overall. Room was a spacious, marble retreat with a breathtaking view. A bit disappointed couldn't see the sunrise out window as hyped, but had balcony & could see only sea (no hotel, people etc) from it.Nice bathroom too. Upgraded to the Beach Club so bfast & 1 hr of free cocktails incl as well as a fancier room. Well worth it! Only complaint about the room: bed was very hard. The hotel is rather big with 5 "villages" but they have shuttles that drive you around 24/7. Enjoyed walking along the sea shore instead. Foliage lined pathways are great for bird watching (lots of exotic & colorful species) and the occassional iguana. Hotel at the end of Tongalunda Bay and has 5 little beaches right at the hotel. Lots of sports activities available there. Took advantage of snorkling (lots of colorful fish but the coral itself is sad). At times, service was a bit lacking, I think because this place is so big. I had to call a couple of times and wait an hour for a blanket. And we missed an appointment with a tour due to a late shuttle (sometimes they are super fast, other times, can be faster to walk). But everyone is friendly and helpful and these little moments didn't really bother me that much. Only ate at 2 of the restaurants. El Mexicano was pretty good, but I would recommend going into Crucecita for really great Oaxacan eats. Don't recommend bar food for more than a sandwich.

| We really did not like the food at Las Brisas and were very pleased we had not purchased the all-inclusive plan. Also the bed was not firm but down-right hard! Yipes! However, tipping the balance is the fact that it was absolutely beautiful, never felt crowded (even the week between Christmas and New Years, had great beach access, and didn't feel like a hotel. It really did give you the feeling that you were staying in a small village-type setting. When we go back to Huatulco, we'll be seriously looking into the other options.

| Very comfortable rooms, deocrated in all white, all with private balcony. Rooms are kept immaculately clean. Upper floors have panoramic views of Tangolunda Bay and surrounding resorts. Hotel has 3 private beaches, all very beautiful. Excellent service throughout the hotel. Would definitely return.

| Although most of the staff do not speak English, they were friendly and helpful. We were visiting their country, so it didn't bother us that they did not speak our language. The garden was beautiful with lots of colorful and sweet flowers. Yes, the hotel rooms were far away from the pools and beaches, but the shuttles were very convenient. The waves were fairly clam at the beaches. My 5 year old and 3 year old had a blast playing with the waves. The snorkling was off the beach, but not the world class one. The water was cloudy, but my kids all went out to see some fish and had a good experience. The lobby, pools, restaurants, and rooms were however very old and out dated. There were no AC at the public area. The AC didn't work well in our room. The shower room looked worse than the one at my own house. We were very disappointed. The food were very expensive (average $13USD per dish) and very average.

| We really enjoyed our stay at Las Brisas. Our room was comfortable and well kept, the grounds beautiful, and the staff helpful. The only disappointment we had was with the food. Service in the restaurants was wonderful, but the food was mediocre and overpriced. We recommend Las Brisas without hesitation, but plan to eat elsewhere.

| The hotel is beautiful and the people are friendly and helpful. They are still working some problems out but the administration is more than willing to make up for it and are very receptive to comments. May not be comfortable for couples with infants or the elderly since one must ride the golf carts or walk but the views are breathtaking and they make the ride worthwhile.
