Hotel is ok. for the price. I think they can improve the rooms. I liked the size of the rooms and the location of the hotel, but the furniture is old and the rooms can benefit if they get paint. The rooms do not have a good air conditioning either, being so hot the air conditioning should be improved. I like the pool it is very convenient by the rooms. I didn't like that the beach closes by 6pm. They need to add more security also. I didn't like the fact that there is a few people in the hotel offering the patrons to take them for a tour or sightseeing. I did not know if they were employees of the hotel or just people walking in the area. The hotel should just offered taxis services that they know they are secure and the hotel be responsible. One of the days of my stayed, it was a strike from the water department, so we did not have water for a complete day.I think the hotel should have a back up system for problems like this one.I visited some restaurants the same day and they had water.

This hotel is quite nice for someone who doesn't mind a little walking. Just about everything is within a few blocks and the hotel offers taxi service to most of the attractions. The staff was very friendly and did their best to make us as comfortable as possible. Give this property a chance. It is not a five star all-inclusive type of resort. You only get what you pay for and on a budget vacation to the beautiful island of Jamaica, Fisherman's Point is worth every cent.

I was a little taken back by the resort when we arrived. The place seemed to be somewhat run down. The front desk was helpful and so was our housekeeper. The location is great because it is within walking distance of shopping centers. The beach close too early (at 6:00) just as the sun is going down and a good time to go to the beach. We had a lot of difficulty getting beach chairs, it was almost impossible. The appliances and furniture was very old. The resort is next to the area where the cruise ships dock and the beach is taken over by the cruisers all day. We were unable to go to the beach area 4 out of 7 days. The resort doesn't offer any type of entertainment (not even raggee). Having said all this our room had a million dollar view. Apt 35 is the room get.

The hotel area was nice. The pool, bar, and restaurant are excellent places to be for fun or relaxation. The hotel is gated and there is a security guard 24/7. The people are awesome and helpful. The appliances are older and the furniture is soiled. All in all I really enjoyed myself, and would stay again snd again. The music plays all day but I wouldn't have it any other way

If you want to put up with some inconveniences this hotel puts you right in the action. The air conditioning didn't work very well, and the music from across the street was very loud day and night. The location was perfect for shopping, beaches, watersports and the hotel had a great resturant and bar. The people where very friendly and are willing to do what they can to make your stay enjoyable.

if you are looking for a hotel in ocho that is not your typical "all inclusive" fisherman's point is one of the better ones. It is important to check your room before checking in, they are accomodating in letting you see location and quality before agreeing. Rooms vary greatly in quality, location and their appearance. This is my 6th stay at fishermans
