We booked two nights at this hotel, Friday-June 23 and Friday-June 30. Our room on the 23rd was below street level. Our concern was how we would climb high enough to reach the windows in case of needing a fire escape. Our room on the 30th was very acceptable.

I wasn't sure what we'd be getting in a Flushing hotel, but the price was reasonable and it was close to Shea Stadium, where we were headed for a Mets game, so I decided to take a chance. The hotel is five blocks from the Flushing Main St. subway station, an easy walk through what I would call a bustling International District (clocks in the hotel showed New York and Taipei times). The hotel itself is on a quiet street and is walking distance (over the Roosevelt Ave. bridge) to Shea. The room was clean and felt new, and at night it was quiet. The continental breakfast was quite good. The hotel staff was, by New York standards, extremely friendly. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
