| The Gastonian was a genuine surprise. Regardless of the prior reviews and recommendations, we found The Gastonian to be a wonderful experience as much as it was a comfortable place to stay while in Savannah. The rooms were spotless, beds and linens very comfortable, and the accoutraments above expectations. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, from the concierge and reception staff, to the kitchen staff, and all others present seemed dedicated to making our stay the best experience possible. We came away from our visit to Savannah as having felt that The Gastonian allowed us to actually experience some the southern charm that exists in this wondeful town. One of the best experiences were the afternoon "teas" and the oppty to meet and talk with the other patrons, who were equally nice and came from very diverse backgrounds and as far away as Shanghai, China. The evening "desert" provided a similar gathering oppty for everyone to meet and discuss their meals from the evening and to talk about their excursion plans for the following day. All in all, this was an experience that we will remember for a long time and are already making plans to revisit Savannah over the holidays this winter. No doubt in our minds that if we go, we will definately stay at The Gastonian.

| Overall, a very nice hotel - excellent staff and facilities. We did stay in the Carriage house which was a delightful room, but were waken in the early hours of Saturday morning by the hotelwashing machines and driers which were being used at 3 am and are located underneath this room. This spoilt an otherwise lovely visit. Savannah is a beautiful place and we would recommend a visit to anyone.

| This Inn is everything it says it is... classic yet homey, breakfast in the morning a delight (the executive chef is "fun", informative, and serves a warm, delicious Southern breakfast as you watch). You can walk to everythin from here.Loved it!

| This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate to stay in the Carriage House, which is like staying in a quaint cottage. We looked at some other rooms and they appeared very elegant and comfortable like ours. The service is fantastic. The staff is helpful from everything from dining and tour reservations to bringing coffee to your room. And the food is terrific. The chef serves well prepared, delicious, and, yes- piping hot-to-the-table food.

| A bit pricey, but if you can splurge once and a while, this hotel provided a very pleasant stay. Staff was extremely professional and courteous. Unfortunately, we did not partake in the evening wine and cheese, but breakfast was very nice. If you like to meet new people and have some interaction at the breakfast table, it can happen here. Breakfast is prepared in the same room, which was interesting to watch chef in action. Although breakfast was good, it did not get to the table piping hot, actually pretty cold. That would be my only complaint. Other than that, Savannah is a beautiful city, and its hospitality shows with this B&B.
