    Timothy Beach Resort Amenities
Timothy Beach Resort is located on Frigate Bay, with access to both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Terraced into a hill overlooking the Caribbean, a large swimming pool overlooks the quarter-mile-long beach below. A computer in the lobby provides high-speed Internet access (fee charged).

Water sports are available on the beach adjacent to the resort, and hotel staff can arrange transportation for trips to town, volcano tours, excursions to the Brimstone Hill fortress, and other island adventures.

    Recreation
A water sports center on the beach adjacent to the resort rents snorkeling gear, small sailboats, windsurfers, boogie boards, and kayaks. Guests may also arrange fishing and snorkeling trips through the water sports center. Across the street from the resort, the 18-hole Royal St. Kitts Golf Course is flanked by both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Hotel staff can assist with arranging tee times.

Brimstone Hill, a 38-acre reserve 11 miles from the hotel, contains the ruins of an early 18th-century fort built by British colonizers to protect their slave and sugar industries. Visitors may wander through the ruins and enjoy ocean views from the 800-foot bluff, known as the "Gibraltar of the West Indies."

The recreational activities listed below are available either near the resort; fees may apply.

    Features
What to expect: This quiet resort attracts leisure travelers seeking a moderately-priced holiday on St. Kitts. Because the hotel is located on a narrow peninsula between the Caribbean and the Atlantic, guests have access to two beaches. A quarter-mile-long sand strip is lapped by the calm Caribbean next to the resort, while a 4-mile stretch of sand runs along the rougher Atlantic side, 1 mile away.

Amenity highlights: The Caribbean beach side of the resort is where guests find vendors renting water sports equipment such as snorkeling gear, small sailboats, windsurfers, boogie boards, and kayaks. The hotel's freshwater pool is terraced into Timothy Hill and overlooks the beach. A computer in the lobby provides high-speed Internet access (fee charged).

Sunset Café - Casual restaurant and bar with open-air seating under white-wood ceiling and pink-and-turquoise canopies. American breakfast. Lunch choices include sandwiches, tuna and chips, burgers, and West Indian dishes such as curried chicken, fish pot, and roti. Dinner selections include fish soup, fish cakes, steak, pasta pork almondine, grilled fish, barbecue ribs, and jerk chicken.

Location, view and hotel is great. However, they woke us at 6:30 am on our last day and moved us into a temp. room so they could clear for new guests. They asked what time we wanted to leave for the airport (1:00 pm) so they could provide transporation, but no one appeared after we asked about it twice; and we had to seek our own service to get to the airport on time.

The resort is secluded from the town, yet close to the beach and restaurants. It has a beautiful view of the mountains as well as the sea, both Atlantic and Caribbean. The room was very clean and comfortable. We went there for a family vacation, and we all enjoyed the place.

Location and view is great. Only hotel on Carribean side of island. Bathroom needs a little updating. Apartment was clean and comfortable. Maid even did the dishes. This is a quiet, laid back place.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful location right on the beach. If the beach is not for you, their pool overlooks the beach and the Caribbean Sea. Watch, but don't touch, the monkeys. We would definitely go back!

Perfectly located between the Caribbean and the Atlantic, only five min. from downtown and the airport and, at the foot of the hills leading to the undeveloped (so far) part of the island. Snorkling was good right off the beach. The staff was freindly, the rooms nice..but a bit older. Timothy has a total of about 60 rooms compared with 800 at the newer Marriott about 5 min. away...we have always gravitated to the smaller hotels, and walking/driving around the area, found none that we would have prefered over Timothy.

However, I encounted a very rude front desk clerk on the very last day of my stay. I ask about their policy on phone calls and was given rates, never once mentioned their policy on phone cards. We made a few international calls useing a local phone card. To my surprise we were billed for those phone calls. When I enquired, I was told in a very rude manner "I only work here and you have to pay the bill". She offered no help, I ask to speak to the manager and he inofrmed me that the card used has no affilation with the hotel, hence I was stuck with a bill for $89.00 US. I have the feeling that the hotel did not mention the policy on phone cards because they stand to make a profit if you use their sevice or a card that has no affiliation with the hotel.

We just returned from our week in St. Kitts and had a wonderful experience staying at the Timothy Beach Resort there. Our room was on the 2nd floor and had a huge balcony with an excellent ocean view. Our housekeeper cleaned the room each day. We enjoyed the beach there, as well. There were some good snorkeling spots around the jetties just off the beach. The resort appears to be recently renovated, and while not at all fancy [go to the Marriott for that] it meets all your needs -- in-room refrigerator, great A/C, and great views plus a nice beach. We were a little surprised by the amount of clouds and the one day of rain, but that allows St. Kitts to have oceanic rainforests in the beautiful mountains. This was a great place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff, and St. Kitts is a lovely place. I would highly recommend the following activities: 1) a full day snorkeling trip with Leeward Island Tours on the Spirit of St. Kitts -- sailing to a snorkeling spot, snorkeling, then sailing to Nevis, then a lunch set up on the beach with a full bar. The crew was amazing, and this is a beautiful catamarand. 2) a rain forest hike with Greg's Safaris. This was amazing. I would also highly recommend the following restaurants for excellent dinners: 1) Marshalls 2) Royal Palm at Ottley's Plantation 3) Rawlins Plantation 4) Bobsy's WE were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food at Waterfalls.
