Features
What to expect: This modern seven-story hotel is in a quiet area on the outskirts of Rome. The large, bright reception area has mirrored columns and ivory-colored tile floors dotted with traditional Middle Eastern rugs. Arrangements of fresh flowers add a splash of color. A curving glass-and-metal staircase leads to the swimming pool, open during the summer. The hotel attracts a mix of business travelers, conference delegates, and international tour groups. Amenity highlights: The outdoor pool is a refreshing option during hot Roman summers. Tables with umbrellas surround the pool, and there are views of a nearby park. The hotel has three restaurants featuring Roman and regional fare, and a complimentary buffet breakfast is served daily. The Art Deco–style bar is a popular gathering place. Complimentary shuttle service to the city is provided. Insider tip: In the mid-1970s, the hotel’s Salone Midas was the location for a conference held by the Italian Socialist Party. During the conference, Bettino Craxi was elected party secretary. He went on to serve as Prime Minister of Italy from 1983 to 1987.
La Perla - This casual restaurant has a glass wall with views of the pool. Cobalt-and-white Murano glass chandeliers and wall fixtures illuminate the room. Tables are topped with vases of fresh flowers. The menu changes regularly but always highlights Roman and regional dishes, such as gnocchi with parmesan. La Perla serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Il Baiocco - More formal than La Perla, Il Baiocco has deep-yellow walls, cream tablecloths, and crystalline wall lights of Murano glass. A grand piano in the corner is played evenings. The menu, which changes regularly, always features local cuisine, such as Bruschetta with Prosciutto and Mushrooms. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. Il Fiorino - This large restaurant caters to groups of up to 250. Tiled white floors and large, round tables provide an informal atmosphere, and mirrored columns add light. Groups are served breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the menu changes regularly. American Diamond Bar - This bar has a 1930s-inspired decor, with a wood ceiling, low black-leather chairs, and Art Deco–style lights and prints. It also functions as a coffee shop, serving hot drinks and snacks as well as drinks.

| The hotel was ok and the staff was nice. My problem was, there ATM machine did work, and when I tried to check out the credit card machine did not work, the telephone in the room did not work. The room had AC, and was a nice size. The breakfast was great, the shuttle was an excellent service, the hotel is 20-30 from the center of Rome so the shuttle was required. I would stay at this hotel again, just take plenty of cash and travellers checks. Don't rely on credit cards.

| After agonizing over a hotel to stay in Rome, I finally booked this one crossing my fingers. When we got there we were so relieved! Very easy to find off the G.R.A. could see the dome from St. Peter's from our balcony. and Vatican was just a straight shot from the hotel that it was actually "on our way" to everywhere we often stopped there for a snack it was so convinient. We had 2 small children and the staff were very accomodating even with their roudiness. Nice restaurant too. Only downfall was the pool is only open from June 1 and it was Memorial Day weekend and 90 degrees and we would've liked to swim. We didnt take advantage of their shuttle to Cavour Square but if you are without a vehicle (or even then maybe) you should - it drops you off very close to some places its quite difficult to get parking! Overall very pleased!

| We feel we were very fortunate to find such a nice modern place. This is part of a European chain and we wouldn't hesitate to stay in any Jolly hotel again. Everything was great, including the staff. Any perceived "shortness" is only because some don't speak English well. We did not use the restaurants, except for the free continental breakfast, since they were quite expensive. There is free hourly shuttle service downtown all day.

| This hotel had a few good points....free frequently run shuttle to and from the center of Rome, nice enough rooms, good dinner the one night we ate at the hotel, but the staff, especially reception crew, leaves something to be desired. With all the many hotels available in Rome, I would recommend trying somewhere else.

| staff ranged from not helpful to rude. still cost 45 euros to get to the airport (one review said there was a shuttle but you have to take a cab). we stayed there because our flight out was so early that we wanted to be nearer the airport but there must be better options!
