Features
What to expect: As the first Ritz-Carlton to open in South America, this hotel offers the company's superb personal service in a fresh setting: Santiago's exclusive El Golf neighborhood. As a result, it's conveniently close to upscale shops, trendy restaurants, and major businesses, yet also provides a refined retreat from the crowded streets of Chile's capital city. Amenity highlights: From the inlaid marble floor in the lobby to the vaulted glass roof, The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago offers classic design elements with eye-catching style. That's especially true in the glass-enclosed rooftop spa and fitness center—guests can swim, workout, or arrange a massage with a backdrop of views that stretch from the city below to the heights of the Andes, 30 miles away. Insider tip: For a taste of Chile's best, order a bottle of locally produced Carmenere wine in the Wine 365 Bar. Originally imported from Bordeaux, France, the rare Carmenere grape produces limited quantities of boutique red wines noted for their low tannins and bright blackberry flavor.
Adrá - The hotel's main restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine in a dining room accented by floors of marble and lapis lazuli. Patio seating is available during the summer months (October–April), offering views of El Alcalde Park. The Lobby Lounge - Mellow piano music and a roaring fire provide cozy accompaniment to afternoon tea. The Ritz-Carlton Bar - This lounge offers cocktails and cigars served by butlers in an intimate atmosphere. Wine 365 Bar - Celebrating Chile's reputation for world-class wines, this bar features more than 365 local vintages and a light bistro menu

| Although the one way streets are a lil' bit of a pain on the main street, the valet and service is worth the hassle. They did straight exchange according to current rates which I didn't find anywhere else.It is a nice hotel in Santiago and the service makes it one of the best deals in the area.

| Overall, an excellent hotel. Great rooms, the service was outstanding, valet parking was reliable and quick, and the location was excellent. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in Santiago. Room service breakfast was delicious. Also, the wine selection in the restaurant was varied, extensive, and interesting. We only had two issues:- First, the cost of internet service was very high -- roughly $16 USD per day. We were surprised by this.- Secondly, the restaurants, while very professional, were rather uninspired from a menu perspective. After seeing the menu and having a drink, we elected to eat out at one of the neighbourhood restaurants in the area (El Golf). However, overall, we will go back

| Visited Nov/04. Great bargain for a 5-star hotel. View from rooms on hotel's entrance side strongly preferrable. Hotel's 365 bar/restaurant recommended for reasonably priced light meals. Metro stop 250 yards away a big plus. Personnel all eager to please, all fluent in English. Very attractive lobby architecture and in the adjoining sitting area where the high tea is another big plus.
