This hotel is located in Sabana Grande, an important financial, commercial, and leisure district. A subway station, just a few meters away, offers easy access to the city center and other areas. The multi-building complex is composed of the deluxe Gran Meliá hotel, and a north and south tower, as well as the first-class Galeria Gran Meliá shops. Guests in the tower buildings have full access to the restaurants, bars, swimming pool, and other facilities of the Gran Meliá, although some--such as the fitness center--are at a surcharge. Twenty meeting rooms, housed within the main hotel building, can host up to 1,250 guests. Other amenities include a hair salon, parking facilities, and limousine service (surcharge).

| This hotel is very luxurious; unncecessarly so for my taste: lots of marble and hardwood paneling, almost decadent. I hate to think about the expense to build it. It seems excessive in a country that has so much poverty. The neighborhood is threatening; don't walk around it, especially at night. Stay there only if you want to impress somebody,

| I had terrible customer service the day I arrived. They were not able to solve a very simple name problem on one of the rooms and they also lost a message left there for another hotel guest causing a big problem
