| Overall my experience was excellent. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. The pool was not open during my stay but did not look like a very appealing place to relax in a deck chair. It is located next to the main highway. This is good for quick travel but bad for noise. If you keep your room windows closed, you don't notice the noise. This hotel is perfect for those who are out to explore the city and surrounding areas. It isn't good for those looking to enjoy a day by the pool.

| I drove to Portland for an overnight shopping expedition with my sister and we thought we'd spend as little as we could because we'd only be there one night. I've learned my lesson that cheap isn't always the way to go. Though the room was clean, we just had an overall feeling of "ick"! It's also not very easy to find and not in the nicest neighborhood.

| Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, spacious, and pleasant. We enjoyed the firm matresses, the microwave and refrigerator. We discovered into the stay free coffee in the lobby although a Starbucks is very near, and daily newspapers are complimentary. A bus leaves every 15 minutes to downtown. We were very pleased.

| The room it self was ok. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. You could tell it was old but not bad. I had to check in early and they were very helpful. I appreciate a place that works with you. I would stay there again but make sure you are not next to the highway and at the other end.

| I had gone to the Banfeild Motel, five months ago, and this time a improvement. The only complaint was that my room did not have a remore control for the tv.

| I read the previous reviews and was a bit worried about what I would find. The hotel was very nice and I'll stay there again. It was just a few blocks from where I had to work. There is a Starbucks close by and some nice restaurants. It is no frills which is fine with us. There is a frig and microwave in the room. Sheets and towels were clean and the beds were comfy.

| the room was poorly furnished (for example, the soap fixture in the shower had been ripped out of the wall and placed on the bathtub rim), the cleaning staff did not do an adequate job (there was hair in the shower drain and a candy wrapper on the floor).
