Features
What to expect: Colorful glass mosaic tiles reminiscent of sun reflecting off water encircle the large oval reception area. A back-lit onyx panel forms a dramatic backdrop to the reception counter. Colorful furnishings and artistic glass elements complement natural stone and walnut detailing. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook a courtyard, where businesspeople, vacationers, and cruise-ship travelers gather on sunny days to enjoy unobstructed views of Elliott Bay.
Amenity highlights: The small year-round pool, adjacent to the second-floor fitness center, is half-indoor, half-outdoor, bisected by a heavy plastic curtain. The interior pool deck includes a spa tub, while the exterior has a cloistered sundeck with lounge chairs and views of Elliott Bay. The hotel’s upscale seafood restaurant, library lounge, and patio also face the bay and the lofty Olympic Mountains beyond.
Insider tip: A paved walking and bicycling lane in front of the hotel follows the waterfront and meets up with Myrtle Edwards Park, less than a mile away. This five-acre bayside park features a winding 1.25-mile path ideal for strolling, biking, or jogging. Landscaped grounds, sprinkled with picnic tables and benches, offer panoramic views of the Olympics and Mount Rainier on clear days.

| Checking in came with a surprise. Although we pre-purchased our stay they tried to change our room from a king to a double. But they quickly 'found' a king for us. The hotel is very clean and convenient for downtown activity. Valet parking only and that will be extra.

| After reading the reviews for the Marriott waterfront I had very high expectations. The concierge "service" was terrible. If you needed restaurant guidance they could help but any other questions resulted in a shoulder shrug and the inevitable "I don't know". The Fish Club restaurant served mediocre food and was ridiculously overpriced. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

| What a great weekend getaway. Just a block away from Pike's Place Market on the scenic Seattle waterfront. Marina view. Beautiful entry and lobby, lots of art work, elegant decor, bright, cheery, clean...I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

| If the Pike Place Market and Seattle waterfront are your destinations, you can add this hotel to the list of one of the best places to stay. Located across the street from Elliot Bay and half a block from the market, everything is within easy walking distance. The entire staff is friendly, competent, and extremely helpful. On site amenities are top notch. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Be aware that the entrance to this hotel is hard to find.
