| Booked a room at the Tremont at the last minute for a first-time stay. It took a bit of a while to valet park upon arrival and the front-desk person was a bit too casual. Finding a working ice machine in the hotel was a challenge and upon checkout, the front-desk staff couldn't change a large bill. Otherwise, the hotel was satisfactory although The Strand was a bit of a ghost town during our Friday night stay.

| The hotel is a clasic Victorian with 16' ceilings, 12' doors and windows, large rooms and in good condition. A good pastry shop 1/2 block, great ice cream shop 1/2 block the other way andabove average dinner at Fishermans Wharf and Willy G's 1 block away at the docks. It has a convenient location for strolling in the Victorian area but not convenient for the beach or Schlitterbahn.

| The only uncomfortable thing was the a/c, but it was not so bad that I felt I needed to report it. I just like to freeze at night. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very polite and professional. Parking is limited, I recommend the valet instead of leaving car on the street. The rooftop is small, but has a good view. Very romantic and quite.

| The hotel was very impressive and the entire staff was very professional, and helpful. The room was as advertised in all respects. We were in room 220, which is directly above the rear service area of the hotel so we heard all manner of noise throughout the night and the garbage truck woke us all up at 5:30 am, so we didn't get much peace and quiet. For this reason we will not go back there, if you do decide to stay be sure and insist that you get a room either at the front of the hotel or at least one that overlooks the atrium. Do not let them put you in any room at the rear of the hotel.

| The Tremont hotel was a great departure from your everyday hotel. We were greeted with smiles and great service from the moment we arrived. When we entered our room, we felt as though we were transported back in time. The room was absolutely beautiful! Everything was clean and in good condition. We really enjoyed the deck on the top floor. After ordering a slice of pie at dinner, we retreated up to the roof to enjoy it and have a drink. It was gorgeous! We will definately return to the Tremont. Our only complaint...the mattress on the bed was a bit on the old side and the springs weren't springy anymore. My husband and I kept rolling into each other at the center of the bed during the night. Not good for people with bad backs.

| We loved to stay at the Tremont Hotel in Galveston. We felt very at home, wel maintained, high ceilings, wooden floors, very nice beds, nice interior, good service, perfect atmosfere of the good old days of Galveston. And the very nice bartenderlady makes a perfect Margaritha. It would have been nice though if they (the management) had offered us a free drink while we were waiting for the room to be clean (it was 6 pm = 18.00 hrs).
