| Good Dutch restaurant across the street. NOT really convenient to Schiphol beacuse there is no free shuttle to airport, and a cost of over 20 euro for taxi to airport. Some rooms are non-smoking. Wireless Internet access is 12 euros per 24 hours.

| Hotel Chariot was in the middle of nowhere... It was so inconviently located from any type of entertainment, food, or civilization for that matter. We spent 65 Euro just to get to the hotel from Amsterdam Centraal just to ensure that we had a hotel room for new year's eve. By the time we got there at 6 p.m., we were informed that there was nothing at all open in this residential little village...The pub across the street and the restaurant next door both closed earlier in the day. We were stuck in our hotel room for new years eve with no transportation back to a central location unless we wanted to pay 65 Euro again, which was not in our budget. We had chocolate and crisps from the minifridge for 4 Euros each for dinner. It is, however, very convenient to the airport...nothing to do and poorly represented as to where the hotel is located....We stayed in much nicer hotels in central Amsterdam for a lower cost.

| Our large triple room had been recently renovated and was spotless. Despite the proximity to Schipol, we did not hear the planes overhead while in our room. Aalsmeer is a bit off the beaten track unless you are in Holland for the flower auction. Although the htel offers shuttle service, I'd recommend having a car.

| The Hotel Chariot was delightful! Located about 15 minutes from the airport, and a half-hour bus ride from downtown Amsterdam I enjoyed returning to a peaceful, quaint little place after walking around the city all day. The bus stop is only a couple blocks from the hotel, so very convenient. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Travelers Checks are not cashed at the front desk however, and there was some confusion even when using them at check-out. The staff was friendly and helpful, including the shuttle bus driver! I'd stay there again! Oh - and there's a nice little eetcafe right across the street too.
