Features
What to expect: Quiet and spacious hotel that opened in April 2003. Bright and slick lobby area with plenty of natural light. The hotel is popular with local businessmen and increasingly with tourists looking for a quieter location outside of the city center. Amenity highlights: The public areas of the hotel are bright and airy with plenty of seating. The hotel’s Mediterranea restaurant serves Mediterranean food for lunch and dinner. In summer guests can sit outside at the tables on the quiet outside patio area. Insider tip: Visitors might enjoy having a look around the Diagonal Mar Park, which the hotel overlooks. It is the creation of renowned Catalan architect Eric Miralles, who also designed the Scottish Parliament building in Edinburgh. The harshness of its steel sculptures is tempered by undulating walkways and a central lake, with the Mediterranean Sea only a two-minute walk away.
Mediterranea - The hotel’s restaurant specializes in modern Mediterranean cooking. On the menu are dishes such as Grilled Asparagus, Beef Carpaccio, Sea Bass. Breakfasts are served buffet style while lunch and dinner are ŕ la carte. The slate floor complements the large glass windows on either flank. Views are to an outside patio dining area on one side and on to a local park on the other. Beige and grey upholstered chairs are set out open plan.

| If you like a modern asthetics this hotel is for you. Only draw back is that it is about 20 minutes by subway to "downtown" Barcelona. One the plus side the subway is only about 1 1/2 away from the hotel.

| Clean, nice bathroom, big bed, near to metro station "selva mar"& 10 minutes to "las ramblas" by Metro... I would definitely recommend it. Nice Price also!!!

| The hotel is located in a business district of Barcelona rather than a tourist area. This is good in some ways, (low street noise, partiers, etc) and bad in other ways (about 5 kilometers from tourist area(s)). Our room was adequate at best, very basic but nice. The hotel breakfast is buffet style and worth every Euro! The hotel is located about 2 blocks from the shoreline and only a short walk. If you don't mind basic decor and basic ammenities, this is the hotel for you. If you desire flash for cash, then choose another hotel.

| We only had one problem and that was that our room for the 10th of May was not available and they sent us to their other hotel which was not as nice as the Vincci and was further away from where we wanted to be, however, since it was only one night it was no problem. They did have our room for us 5/23-26 and all went well. Thank you.

| We can't fault the hotel on any score but it's location. It is quite far from the central city but the metro is very close and cabs are abundant. The staff is superior and helpful in every instance including using the computer in the bar area. The restaurant for breakfast is great. The cost was half of what you would pay in the city. The staff was very helpful in making hotel reservations including some that were very hard to get. The only caution is that the cabs will take the long way to get anywhere and pretend not to even understand Spanish no less English!!!

| we stayed in barcelona before and after a cruise...this was our hotel for the last night before we returned home...the design was amazing..i have never seen a bathroom so beautiful...it is near the metro stop selva de mar which is a bit far out from the busy stops by las ramblas but we had gotten tired of las ramblas after 3 days and the food around there is a rip off...we had dinner at the olympic port very close to this hotel and it was wonderful...i would def stay here again....

| When we arived at the hotel there was a party going on . Kids runing all over noise so great that you could not talk. The room had no tissue paper . Repeated requests for paper no results. The bath/shower leaked.Repeated request no help Internet did not work.Breakfast not included with room Was presented with a 25 Euro Bill after sitting down to eat.This was only Hotel on this trip that charged for Breakfast.

| The hotel is one block from the metro and is very convenient. It is much roomier than the other hotels we visited in the area. We would definitely stay there again.
