| It is a good place to be in the University district without the streamline box motel environment - great breakfast - no TV -shared bathrooms - you have the privacy of an old hotel mixed with dorm atmosphere. It is not for everybody and probably a different experience for children. We liked it. Parking could be a bit of a hassle. - ++++ +

| I knew what I was getting. Remember, there is no bathroom attached to the room, just a sink.

| The rooms were very small & only had a bed & sink. The hotel had a community showers & toilets down the hall, much like a college dorm.

| Selected for it's proximity to U of Washington campus [excellent], I missed the Expedia description about it being a European Style hotel [common WC and showers down the hall], which could be an issue if traveling with small children. Lots of stairs, check-in and office on fourth floor. If addicted to TV or internet access these were not available in my room. Parking is a problem.

| The College Inn is a welcoming and warm place to stay in the busy city. There is a secure outside door, friendly staff, and very clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast is simple but filling and the building is full of character. History buffs will love this place, there are lots of old pictures from around this area hanging up. No smoke smell (as in other review), but main entryway smelled like the cafe next door (coffee and baked goods during the day).

| Nice price for the location for visiting UW. Keep in mind that there are shared bathrooms down the hall. Wireless internet is a plus. I like the fact that there are no TVs. "Old World Charm". No Parking.

| Must be able to climb 4 flights of stairs to check-in (on level 4), then the rooms are on levels 2 and 3. Neat cafe next to hotel, good coffee. Olden European/Russian atmosphere. Not very bright in rooms at night,if trying to study, needs more lamps. During the day its great if you have a corner room and the blinds are open to let the sun shine in. The Bathroom is down the hall, but kept up in shape and is clean. Think dorm room style living. The stairwell smells of smoke, but the individual floors and rooms are no smoking and don't smell as bad, yet it still travels about in the air. Good price compared to surrounding hotels. If not going to stay in room much, but do more traveling around this area it is your best deal. Good continental breakfast, lots of choices. Minus the smoke (just open the windows) its nice.
