We booked this hotel almost six months in advance -- we were going to see a World Cup game in Frankfurt, and we wanted to avoid a situation where we wouldn't have a place to stay. Wasn't the cheapest, but it had all the comfort and amenities you would expect from a decent hotel. All staff spoke excellent English, and were friendly and courteous. One guy went out of his way to give us information about Heidelberg (we took a day trip there). It's more of a business hotel, so don't expect any resort type of experience. The best part was the breakfast buffet. It's not included in the price, but it's worth trying at least once. They seemed to customize the menu (in addition to the staples) if there is a large group. When we were there they had Japanese breakfast everyday, and I also saw some middle-eastern breakfast one day. Being a newbie European traveler, I assumed that the internet connection was included with the room. Well I found out the hard way at the checkout.... But the broadband connection itself was smooth (although sometimes slow). Facing a busy street, but the windows are very good -- we were impressed with the sound proof quality. We walked to the Zeil shopping area everyday to get some food or drinks. You can walk to most places around the city from this hotel. Got there from the airport on one 20-minute train ride, too.

Nice business type hotel and very convienent to town & shopping. Not that far from the river. Good setup for working. Only one complaint...they wanted 18 Euros for breakfast and they claimed there were no other places nearby to get breakfast. I walked 2 blocks toward town and found a nice little cafe/bakery with excellent service and ham, eggs, toast & coffee for 4 Euros.

I traveled to Frankfurt to attend a trade show at the Messe fairgrounds. Not expecting to spend much time in the room I was looking for an inexpensive but nice room. The desks clerks were very friendly and spoke perfect English. The room was small by American standards but, as with most European hotel rooms, designed for efficiency. The bathroom was full sized, had a full tub with shower, a hair dryer and plenty of towels and shampoo, soap etc. The room and entire hotel were extremely clean and modern looking. The hotel is one block off the Zeil, the main shopping district, and one block from the subway station at the Konstabler Wache. I took the S8 train (S9 can also be taken) directly from the airport to the Konstabler Wache station and walked the 1 block to the hotel. No taxis or transfers were necessary and the trip took only 20 minutes. Going back and forth to the Messe was easy and direct using the S3, S4, or S5 trains. If you are looking for a hotel with a view this is not the hotel for you. However if you are looking for clean, modern, safe, quiet, friendly and convenient base for your trip to Frankfurt this hotel can't be beat.

I stayed at the NH Frankfurt city during the Frankfurt Book Fair of October 2005, and I throughly enjoyed it. Nice rooms, great service, great breakfast buffet, and best of all, a great rate for a normally very expensive time of year. All in all a perfect score.

Definitely would stay here again. Clean environment, nice atmosphere, and all around a very nice experience. It's located next to a great outdoor shopping pavillion and in the heart of the city. It is also not even 4 minutes walking distance to an underground station. Very convenient.

We were only at the hotel one night. We did not use any of the services other than a room to sleep in - the room was very clean - so I can not comment on the other services really. It has a nice location, we went for a very enjoyable walk at night and saw many nice places.

Overall the hotel was fine and met my expectations. However, they did not have my reservation when I arrived and could not find it when I provided my Expedia booking number.
