| There was peace, comfort, great hospitality and affordability in a totally quaint, bohemian sort of atmosphere. Natasha the concierge was a gem - she really was a wealth of information. When I go back , my preference will be to stay at Hotel Quinto Sol

| This is a great inexpensive hotel. Very clean and a great location. Location is right next to shopping district and lots of restaurants. Plus a quick 2 to 3 blocks to a very nice public beach area. The staff was great!

| When we first arrived, we thought the hotel was quaint, and although our room was very dark, we still gave it a try. After the first night of sleeping on a rock hard bed, the noise drove us crazy. After the second night, we asked to be moved and they were very nice about it and did move us to a top floor. The room was nicer (bed still hard) and there was a constant hum from an air conditioner, but it was much better. The staff was friendly, but didn't tell us about things that would have been helpful like a discount on a beach club they partner with. Overall we made the stay a positive one, but after checking out other small hotels in the area (which is a great little area) we would choose another one next time.

| terrrific find. hotel staff were very knowledgable of the area/ spoke perfect english/ very warm. the room was clean, comfortable. there was a tv/ AC/ kitcheonette (which was great to save money on food). the hot tub was a terrrific way to unwind at the end of the day. the hotel is right on 5th (the main drag), but it is so quiet that you feel miles away. the best part of the beach (less crowded/ less boats/ clean) is only 2 blocks away. there are plenty of restaurants right at the door of the hotel. cant say enough good things! would def stay there again and 100% advise anyone else to!

| Friendly, efficient service, lovely quaint boutique hotel, at the quieter more charming end of Playa's 5th Avenue sufficiently far from the spring-break and tourist crowds but a short enough walk if you want to party. 5 mins walk to the beach. Only disappointment was tha the jacuzzi was not heated and never seemd to be in service.

| Having been to Playa before, I knew that we wanted to be further north than Calle 16 for a more quiet place. This hotel was perfect(Calle 28, yet on 5th Ave). Our room on the second floor was very well air conditioned and well kept. Nice restaurants were very nearby. Definitely would stay here again!

| There was nothing special about this hotel, except that it is visually very cool. The bedroom and bathroom was your typical Mexican room. The lighting, however, was horrible and we had to leave our draperies wide open to get any light....which left us in full view of the other hotel guests. We asked for extra towels as there were 3 of us in the room, and sometimes got them - sometimes didn't. I got the feeling that if you were Italian you were probably taken care of very well, otherwise you were just another peso to them. Location was very nice if you don't want to be in the thick of things.

| Very clean hotel, nice little Italian restaurant, and very friendly folks. Booked this place as being at the north end of 5th Avenue (Playa del Carmen main tourist drag) and possibly a relatively quiet location, but discovered that 5th Ave. has grown north very fast. Still a great compromise between the central bustle and remote locations. Air conditioning had to be fixed twice, but at least they got on it right away. Kitchen was small, equiped with basic pan/plates, but worked well for the few meals we ate in. Most happy with staff keeping the place clean, never saw a single bug! Firm bed was awesome for me, as I'm a big guy, but could be a problem for others. I suppose firm is better than too soft. Also loved the towel folding touch of the maids. Great frienly folks...

| Very nice. Very cozy. Very near the beach clubs and not at all far from Playa activities.Try to get a room upstairs...the laundry room is next door to the rooms downstairs and the staff makes a lot of noise. All in all....very recommendable.
