| Since my elderly wife has knee problems, and we also had multiple pieces of luggage I requested a room in the lower floor I was told there were none available, to my surprise moments later when a younger couple arrived they were given a room in the lower floor. When asked they replied they have not made previous reservations. I did not want to get into a personal comfrontation with the caretaker

| If you just need a clean place to sleep, this is it. Bring your own light bulbs. Guess they're trying to save electricity. No one at front desk in the morning and won't answer the bell. Continental breakfast but is all gone by 8 am. They don't replenish.

| This is a basic overnighter, If you go to monterey and are only sleeping in the room save your cash for dinner or drinks!

| The staff was very accommodating regarding our late check in. The room was just what we wanted a cheap, clean place to stay.

| Pride of ownership showed with the potted plants and hanging baskets outside. If you're not spending much time in the room - it is a good place to stay.
