| I was so excited about this hotel. It looked beautiful on the internet but did not our meet expectations. The room was decent but the service and staff were terrible. When we arrived at 8:30pm (which is not late), there was no one at the desk and the building was locked. We had to call and wait for a security guard to let us into the hotel. We have never experienced this before in our many travels. On the day of our departure, our flight was leaving later in the afternoon. We called the front desk to ask if we could get a late checkout. We did not think this would be a problem since it was off season and the hotel was not close to capacity. The staff was very inflexible, however, and very unwilling to allow us to stay 2 more hours. We thought it was ridiculous. Lastly, there was hardly anyone at this hotel but they still stuck us in a corner room. Was that really necessary? It was clean but it was very small. I would not recommend this hotel.
