North of San Diego and south of Anaheim, this resort is situated near Carlsbad on 12.2 landscaped acres overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The property is adjacent to LegolandŽ, and close to major attractions including SeaWorldŽ, San Diego Zoo, Qualcomm Stadium, and Old Town. Amenities include an Olympic-size pool, a family pool, three spas, and a children's interactive water park. There is also a fully-equipped fitness center, an activity center, and a game room on site. | We stayed in a condo, not a hotel room. There was a mistake with the booking through Expedia, and they had us in the hotel instead of the 1 bedroom condo we had paid for. We needed a separate room, as we have 2 small children. They remedied the situation and we ended up in a 2-bedroom condo. The place was huge! Very clean, and very modern and bright. I don't know how old the place is, but it seemed quite new. There were 3 TV's, a DVD player, VCR and stereo. The location was very handy for LegoLand and there are several family restaurants close by.
