| We arrived 3 hours after check in time to find that no one was at reception. After ringing the bell for 15 minutes a clerk finally arrived to tell us that our room was not ready. We waited 20 minutes more to finally get our room. To our dissapointment our room was on the uppermost floor and the hotel had no elevator. We have to carry our luggage three flights of stairs. The room had no waste basket and the door was hard to open because of the old key and doorlock. Overall, we slepped well because of the good air-conditioning. I would recommend this hotel only if you can't find something better. When staying in Venice make sure to book a hotel well in advance.

| The a/c here is a joke, and we had 3 different rooms and they all sucked. Nicely redone hotel, very quaint and European, in a great location. Just don't go in the summer unless you can sleep in very high heat.

| My husband and I arrived in Venice early in the morning and were able to leave our luggage until a room was available. The management was extremely friendly and helpful in trying to accomodate us during our wait. When our room was available, we were given a beautiful room that was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and again, we were able to leave our luggage until our train departed later that night. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially due to the excellent customer service and friendliness we received on our stay. This was our best hotel experience in all of Italy.
