The supurb cleaniness and the extremely accomodating staff make this hotel a must. The twelve days I stayed made me feel like I was at home. The staff is extremely knowledgeable in English and very helpful in understanding the Hungarian language . I had no problem going betwqeen Buda and Pest and found the love of this country equal to that of its natives. I would return immediately to this magical kingdom.

I stayed here for one night in July 2006 at the end of my vacation (and stayed in a smaller hotel in Budapest for several nights at the beginning of my vacation a couple of weeks earlier). I had no problem with the service or room, although keep in mind that as a large mainstream hotel it will give you a different (more insulated, less local flavor) experience than a smaller boutique hotel. Whether to go with a large or boutique hotel just depends on what is important to you (personally I find boutique hotels more satisfying). The main thing that bothered me with this hotel was the inadequate internet access. Even though the hotel has about 300 rooms, there are only two computers available to access the internet, I would have expected more from a Hilton. Compounding the problem is the fact that the computers must be rented in blocks of 30 minutes minimum (at a rate of six dollars per half hour). Smaller hotels are far superior in this regard, usually offering adequate internet access at no charge to the customer. If you have your own computer with wifi, this probably won't be an issue, but most leisure travelers don't bring a laptop with them. I also wasn't happy with the prices of the minibar, five dollars for a small bottle of water is exhorbitant, even for a mini-bar. Lastly, room service options for vegetarians are practically non-existant. Aside from those concerns, the hotel was good and in an interesting location.

This hotel was magnificent. The view was breath taking--high atop the Castle District--with all of Budapest spread out in front of your window (request a room overlooking the river and the city)! Large, clean, comfortable room with all top notch amenities. We would stay here again if we ever returned to Budapest...what a find. The staff was overly helpful and considerate. Located near public transportation and great local restaurants.
