| This hotel offers a great value considering its close in location. Attached restaurant offers a very good breakfast. Within easy walking distance to everything in and around the plaza area. Great parking lot. Decor is probably 60's vintage, but everything is maitained in excellent condition. Highly recommend!

| This hotel is right next to the Loretto and in walking distance to everything. Has a charming outdoor pool, a restaurant, small rooms with big windows, sunny, even a nice view! Deco tile bathroom, lots of mirrors. Rooms are standard hotel/motel but big windows and pretty wood doors make it feel more like a lodge than a motel. Great price, walk across the street to six great restaruants. Only downside is they make you PAY to park in their parking lot - even if you are a guest at the hotel. That was a bit of a dissapointment. But still can't beat location and price.

| This hotel is close to down town but that is the only thing I see going for it. It is old and does not compare to modern hotels for comfort or features. If staying close the the center is important, choose another.

| We just got back from our stay and we thought this place was awesome. It was so clean and well taken care of that we didn't mind that it was not a luxury hotel. The service was awesome and the location was fantastic! We highly recommend this place!

| What makes Garrett's Desert Inn a real bargain is its location. Basically, it is within walking distance of every major attraction in central Santa Fe. Otherwise, it is strictly basic, with clean, if dated, motel-type rooms. The beds were o.k. The television was tiny (and had volume adjustment problems). But when you arrive in Santa Fe, and check into Garrett's, you'll realize you are so close to all the action/attractions that you will be spending little time in your room.

| I've stayed at Garrett's about 8 times over the last 10 years. Being so close to the Plaza you can't beat the price. Only problem was the shower water temp changing during our showers each morning.

| Garretts is a very basic motel but for the price and the location it cannot be beat. Expect very basic comforts, a large parking lot, and a friendly staff. They finally opened a little restaurant which was very lacking. No room service but many cable stations even though the walls were thin enough to hear my neighbor's TV selection. Nonetheless, I would reccommend this motel to a friend.
