Hot, old and not at all comfortable. Considered leaving even though I didn't arrive until midnight and had just driven 17+ hours.

An older motel which could use a little updating in furniture and amenities. The efficiency was nice with both a small fridge, microwave and a spacious room. Once you realize they have more parking than just the courtyard, you can easily find a spot. More than an easy walk from downtown, it is walking distance to a couple of restaurants and a grocery store.

If you're just stopping over in Ashland then Timbers will be just fine. It's nothing fancy, but it is clean and neat and has a nice little pool for a cooling dip in the summer hear, and it's close to a market and a Starbucks. We walked into town for dinner, but there's pizza and chinese nearby too.

To save money, we cancelled our reservation at an expensive B&B in favor of a budget hotel. This hotel was a very good price, and very decent for what we paid. It's about 1.5 miles from the Downtown Shakespeare Festival, so it's an easy, quick drive and we always found free parking within a few blocks of of the theaters. The hotel room had a small frig and microwave, which was unexpected at such a budget hotel. The room (2nd floor in the back) was quiet and clean, but the maid service was not especially thorough. Ripped screen on the bathroom windown let in a few flies, but overall, we were very happy with our bargain room. If you're on a tight budget, I'd recommend the Timbers. If you can spend more, I'd recommend a nicer place closer to downtown.

The room was lovely, and you can't beat the price in Ashland! We had a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, ironing board and iron. Was a tad bit noisy, but where isn't? Bring earplugs and you're fine!

There are groceries and gas nearby. It is about 1.7 miles from the "Theatre District." Access is confusing at first, but isn't too bad once you figure it out. It seems to be an old building, but is well-kept and clean.
