| It's not a five star fancy hotel, but it still clean and comfortable with a friendly staff. Simply you get what you paid for. Moreover u get a free parking. I wont hesitate to go back.

| Variety of rooms providing comfortable atmosphere with the feeling of visiting someone's home. All rooms have fridge and microwave making short or long stays easier. Two restaurants offering "dining" or pub-style atmosphere, with outside tables as well. Personnel very polite and helpful; eager for your stay to be pleasant.

| Everything from the second I walked through the doors was a great experience! The desk staff treated me as if I were staying at the most elelgant & well appointed hotel ever. This fact turned out to be the truth.My every need was fulfilled in my well appointed room.It was beautiful & here's the greatest tip ever...order room service or have dinner at the resturant that services room service because the food is outstanding.I loved staying at the Carleton & would return again just to experience the beauty of Oak Park! Don't miss the Frank Lloyd Wright tour either!

| Located two blocks from the Lake Street Elevated station which will take you directly to the City, this very classy hotel is clean, comfortable, has two great restaurants (one casual, one more intimate), and is located very near the downtown area an updated, fun Chicago suburb.

| I liked the hotel itself. I felt a little awkward though because I have been to larger hotels with a real concierge. It was noteasy to find out about the city as I would have hoped. I had a pleasant stay for the short time that I was there.

| Hotel staff was exceptional - very professional, helpful and friendly. Rooms were great, we traveled with children and the hotel had games and DVD's available for our use. Additionally, free passes to the Y (in walking distance), where the pool and all other services were available for the children and adults. Excellent location (in walking distance to downtown Oak Park) for shopping, sightseeing, and eateries. We stayed over during the 4th of July and walked to the the fire work display - which was spectacular! Highly recommend the Carleton of Oak Park!

| The hotel was fine if you're not going to spend too much time there. However, it is not convenient for handicapped people. There are steps down to the lobby, and steps up to the elevators. (Yes there is a wheelchair 'lift', but not very convenient.) Our room was on the 4th floor and looked out on another building! It was dusty, but the bathroom was clean. The refrigerator and microwave were a nice touch.

| the hotel was a good deal. the room was very large, and apartment basically. the area was a bit questionable. a block away from the train and shops. the hotel service was not great. I do think it's a great deal if you don't mind a low level of service, and i would probably stay again, but only to save money.
