These include five golf courses (discounts offered to guests); a sports complex that contains an indoor pool and health club; an equestrian center; a shooting club; a tennis center; and jogging, hiking, and bicycle trails. During summer season, various water sports gear, including personal watercraft, kayaks, and windsurfers, can be rented from independent operators on the beach. The recreational activities listed below are available either within or near Prado do Golf; fees may apply.

What to expect: Terraced into a low hillside, Prado do Golf features gardens, rock walls, trees, and fieldstone paths and is located in a quiet spot within the Vilamoura development, which comprises a town center, residential villages, hotels, a huge marina, a casino/disco, and myriad recreational venues. Couples and families come for quiet holidays with access to all Vilamoura offers. Public bus service offers transport. Amenity highlights: A central courtyard contains a large, kidney-shaped pool and sundeck furnished with lounge chairs. Just three km away and separated by Vilamoura's marina, two beaches run along the Atlantic Ocean. Both are 75-90 meters deep and accessible by boardwalks that protect natural vegetation. Falésia Beach is nine km long. Marina Beach is one km long. Bars and restaurants are situated along the boardwalks. Insider tip: Accessible by public bus, the village of Albufeira is six miles (10 km) west and offers shopping and dining within narrow, winding streets and along a beachfront.
