| Very helpful staff. They helped us find whatever we were looking for on the island. The rooms were clean and spacious. They could have a little more lighting. They are rated a 3 star hotel. I am frugal and I would definately go back.

| I have been to Cozumel many times in the past, but this was my first stay at the Vista del Mar. It was well run and very clean. The location, right on the main drag across the street from the water was ideal for me. The hotel was walking distance to all the restaurants and activities in town and the ocean view and balcony facing the ocean was exceptional. It is probably not the hotel for families with young children, but you're looking for a clean, well run hotel with a convenient location, it may be ideal.

| Everyone who works at this hotel was great to us (knew our names the first day), and the in-town location is really convenient. The personal service exceeded our expectations, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We overlooked the shops and the dipping pools rather than the ocean, which we enjoyed because it was a bit more private. The A/C was powerful, the fridge kept things cold, the lighting in the bathroom was really good (although the room was a bit dark), and the closet was large. My only suggestion for improvement is to have an ice machine on premises or to have ice available, as the little freezer in the mini fridge isn't large enough to hold much. Overall, a great place where I would definitely stay again if they'll have me!!

| This is a great hotel for the price. I felt very well taken care of. The staff is friendly and the location in town is very convenientto all shops and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay there.

| My room was beautiful, the whole hotel is really relaxing and well-decorated. The ambience makes for a dream-like vacation! The people are so friendly, and the service is amazing. Iwouldn't go anywhere else in Cozumel!

| My wife and I stayed at some of the other places further from town, but found ourselves spending a ton on cabs. The Vista Del Mar is a couple blocks off the main square, and we felt 'plugged in'. Vehicular noise was the trade-off for an ocean view. The staff was charming, polite and helpful. We will go back.

| The staff was very nice and personable, went out of their way to be helpful. The mattress was somewhat short and lumpy, but we were usually very tried so we slept well, anyway. The Jacuzzi (pool) was not in very good swimming order,a little green and no jets, but not too big of a problem for us. Overall a nice place for the price, and located right by shopping and restaurants. The avenue can be noisy, but once we went to bed, I was so tired I didn't notice. One complaint was the airconditioner had no settings. It was either on or off, so we woke up freezing and had to turn it off , only to get too warm, later.

| Highly recommended for divers, shoppers,etc. not recommended for children or sun worshippers as it is not on a beach. Centrally located to town, restaurants and dive shops. Also you get a coupon for free nights on return stays.
